Pump Valve: Part # 64290.024      Specify – Machined Aluminum Plug

Pump Valve Crush Washer Pair:  Part # 41540.014   Always use new when installing pump valve.

Editors Note:  Old style lead plugs become compromised over time and repeated heat cycles destroy the plug’s integrity. Typically, an imperceptable hair-line crack will develope in the plug.  When these lead plugs fail, fuel exits through the air horns rapidly and flooding the combustion chamber occurs. If you are lucky,  this will happen during idle.  Shut the engine off immediately, avoiding hydraulic lock up, broken valves, and so forth.  Don’t ask how I know, I just do!  Best to call or email – ask for David at Pierce Manifolds.  Contact email: david@piercemanifolds.com

These Euro-headers are for Merak SS engines only.  We use 16 gauge 304 stainless steel with an extra thick flange and brushed satin finish.   All tubing is CNC mandrel bent, tig welded, and produced in the USA with the highest of quality. It is highly recommended that brass nuts and new gaskets be used when installing the new headers.

The intake manifold takes the industry standard 2-128 O-ring (AS-128) for the 3.0 L Non-SS intake manifold and  2-131 O-ring for the SS intake manifold.  You may go high tech by using silicone 128 O-rings that never harden. These O-rings are Buna N rubber material and are rated to perform within the -20F to  =225F temperature range
